Engine is finally out.


Engine is finally out.


The engine is almost ready to come out and all of the external parts have been removed.


The front trim and lights have been removed. Also the radiator and most of the parts that need to be removed to hoist out the engine.


The work begins.

This alpine ran into a truck. It has the rare automatic transmission and wire wheels.




Speedometer rebuild.


Rebuilt, aligned and ready to go.


Test fitting the new wheels, tires, and hard top.

Reassembly.


The steering rack on TRs can be allowed to move back and forth when turning the steering wheel to fix that on this car a couple shims were put onto the rack mounts to hold it tight in place.


Above is parts powerder coated and ready to be baked.
The ball joints were just waiting to fall completely apart.
Bottom is parts powdercoated and fasteners zinc plated and ready to be polished.

Bottom picture show the parts sandblasted and ready for powdercoating.



The left rear brake cylinder was leaking and made a mess inside the brake drum. After a new cylinder and a bit of cleaning this brake should be in good working order.


New seat slides and mounting hardware were used to fasten down these original TR250 seats.


I cut out a cover for the spare tire. This wood is the type used as underlayment for vinyl flooring and fit very well under the stock clips and flush with the floor on the sides.
